President's Message

Let me take this opportunity to thank you all most sincerely for

having elected me unanimously as the president of the Medical Officers

Guild Western Coast 2012. It will be an easy task for me as a very strong

team of office bearers are elected to the guild and as such I hope to do a

better service with their whole hearted co-operation.

Also I expect the other members too, will extend their full cooperation

for the upliftment of the guild. This year our main intention is to

improve the academic knowledge of our members. In order to improve the

academic knowledge, I intend having clinical meetings monthly in

reference to GP practice on day to day topics. To achieve this end I need all

your active participation.

Along with this I hope to draw attention to the welfare of the office

bearers and the community . Another target I have in mind is to

strengthen the guild by enrolling new members.

Finally, I thank most sincerely the past president and the past guild

members for handing me over the responsibilities of such a strong guild in

2012. I expect all members maximum co-operation for better success.

Secratary's Message

As the secretary of medical officers’ guild-western coast, I am very delighted today about induction of our official website. We are not just another gathering of doctors. As in our vision we are working together for better health of our community.

On a day of 2008 at Waikkal with a number around twenty doctors gathered together to commence this guild. Since then adding one by one to our guild we have almost came closer to one hundred mark of our membership. With the expansion of number of heads, ways of sharing our knowledge and views should need new methods. So by starting this website we are coupling with new technology and it will give us a chance to share our information with a click.

This is not a site that share only fact about medicine. Whatever your interesting field you can share with the others. So those who are interesting in other fields can post information on those fields (Eg: Photography, Travelling, ect.)

My dear members, take the advantages form this opportunity and surf on our official site. Then we can share the knowledge and the experience.

I will take this opportunity thank Dr.Prasantha Walgampola, President of MOG and Dr. Prasanna Dissanayake, assistant treasurer of MOG for their dedication to finalize the website.
